Here’s one review I really should have moved to the top of the to-write pile! This is the Super Facialist by Una Brennan Tea Flower Deep Clean Purifying Cleansing Wash (haha!). For a product with a ridiculously long tongue-tying title, this product packs a helluva punch!
I originally spotted the Una Brennan range reviewed by Alix about 6 months ago, and ever since then I’ve been hooked. So much so that my skin gets a bit jittery when I place a dollop of any other cleanser on my face..
For someone who originally dealt with combination skin, pre-Hydraluron (my review here), the Tea Flower strand of the Una Brennan range (available in Boots) was right up my street. It contains Salicylic Acid – an ingredient which is used extensively to treat acne and difficult skin. It is fantastic at clearing up skin and unclogging pores. Definitely look out for that ingredient if you’re prone to blemishes!
“Purifying Cleansing Wash is formulated with skin clearing Salicylic Acid to help detoxify and deep clean congested skin of daily impurities and excess oils without causing irritation. With regular daily use, this lightweight, refreshing foaming gel infused with Elderflower will leave skin feeling balanced and looking healthier and clearer.”
This sums up really accurately how I want my skin to react to a product, so I was intrigued..
On first whiff of the product, it smells fresh and clean. I preferred to use it in the evening as the Elderflower infusion smells quite relaxing – but I’ve since taken to using it morning and night.
After massaging it into damp skin using circular motions and rinsing it off, I’m amazed how refreshed and deeply cleansed my skin feels. It makes me feel like I’ve gotten rid of all the grime and am ready to get on with cracking the toner out! It’s also safe enough (at least for me!) to use around the eyes, but obviously this may differ according to skin reaction.
Over time, my skin has balanced out beautifully and looks much clearer and less clogged!

Would I Repurchase It?
Absolutely! I’m on to my third bottle of the magic stuff so I’m definitely gonna be continuing to buy in as long as it’s available in Boots, as well as taking a look at the Tea Flower clay mask when my Origins Clear Improvement runs out.
For anyone with dry skin, I would recommend taking a look at the Rose strand of the Una Brennan line at Boots.
And, for anyone wanting to get some brightening & tightening on the go, take a look at the Neroli strand, which includes Hyaluronic Acid (!!!! Ding ding ding!) as a main ingredient.
The Super Facialist range is available at Boots (in-store and online), and this particular cleanser retails at a pretty manageable £7.99 (compared to the big guns at Origins et al, that is!). The range is priced at £7.99-£16.99 and includes cleansers, moisturisers, masks and serums, etc.
